For toddlers and infants, avoid having small toys that they could choke on. A simple rule of thumb is to remember "if it fits in the opening of a roll of toilet paper, then it's probably too small to have around.

Poinsettias, if eating, may make your child a little sick to the stomach, but are not poisonous.

Drive safely to Grandmas and Grandpas, and use a car seat as recommended.

Be sure to take your bottles of Ipecac and Activated Charcoal with you when you visit relatives. Remember, their house is less likely to be "poison-proofed" like yours. Review our poison safety tips.
